Thread: Punkbuster on TDM Server

We have used punkbuster in our servers before, they leave the servers empty.

We also want to provide servers for those with punkbuster problems, that are unrelated to hacks.

Votes can be dangerous (people voting for anyone they think is hacking or just because that person is having a good streak)

But I think the pros outweigh the cons on voting in the TDM server... that is, until sufficient admin activity can be reached on that server...?

i am on that server now anytime i get time and only travel to the snd when called due to the hacks and im on 5+ hours a day usually like if thats not enough activity and you consider that inactive then look for a new admin

but there are a need for more admins but finding suitable candiates that all the team supports is a difficult job and takes time and also calls on good canditates applying

Eh i wasn't saying you - or any other specific admin - wasn't active enough, i meant admin coverage of the server as a whole with an ideal (call it utopic lol) situation of at least one admin active 24/7 (meaning admins from different parts of the world too etc.)

So yeah basically admin corps has to be expanded

We had this discussion several times. If you want to play a hackfree game (although punkbuster does not guarantee that) you can play on one of our promod servers. Votes are not going to be enabled as they're going to be abused. Servers with enabled votes will always end up in shipment ffa.

So true, voting will screw with the whole map rotation as well as end up with people being banned who shouldnt, you put to much trust in people that they will be honest
To be completly honest and this is my opinion dont hate

Well the only good thing about voting is, that people cant ban, otherwise the server would be empty after 10mins.
