Thread: harsh banning

I think people are getting banned very easily. im not defending hackers obviusly but i mean admins are being a bit to strict and need to actually judge the person properly by spectating them for atleast half game before making a desicion. The only person who i think does this properly is probably quper.the whole kamimaster incident he sorted out very well and was firm and gave people warnings. i think she would resovle less arguments and make happier server.

All of us HAVE TO spectate hackers
This is fact, (but if somone gets 15 kills with lmg in 3 sec it's pretty obvious) but as player u just see, that someone got kicked. And we are kicking for breaking rules too. Half game? Good admin needs 1-4 rounds to be 100% sure about hacking. Believe me.
And if some of us make mistake (shit happens, we''re just humanz) , banned NONhacker can do ban appeal, then we discuss about that, and maybe unban him
and about Kamikater.. Matt was removed from admin area, he acted like a kid, end of story

yes. I agree with u completly at this point . People who accuse others, that they hack.. This is really annoying. Especially when somone says - Hacker!
Just hacker. Wtf? who? when? where? If those DUMB guys want us to ban this 'hacker' , They have to tell the name. I got tired of asking them bout names all the time , and I just check in console who killed them last time , spec him , and do what I have to do.

abdabomb, I'll start by welcoming you into our community. now about the admins, they are humans like you and me, they sometimes make mistakes, but trust me when I say that if they screw up more then a few times, they are demoted in a blink of an eye.

masked actually said everything, but here's my point of view. Pretty obvious wallhack (tracing through walls) or aimbot (1000 kills in 10secs) doesnt require half the game to spectate. But even when it's not that obvious, most of our admins are well experienced players and are pretty able to decide whether it's hack or skill.And, how do you know admins are NOT speccing? when you're dead you can also spec every player although it isn't said "player X is spectating player Y at the time".
Just for making this clear, these are the most happening ban/kick reasons:
Kick:
-excessive Spamming (spammers get warned)
-Rulebreaking
-excessive flaming/whining (get warned)
-excessive insulting (usually get warned)

Tempban:
-repeaters

ban:
-hackers
-permanent rule breakers

and I always tempban for racist comments, insulting admins *when they are not incognito,
that's pretty much it

We get the client list, and find their ID, then ban using that.
