Thread: In-game voice communication system?

so i am trying to learn all i can about servers in cod4 and practicing them all before i plan to apply for admin again so i was looking through too see


In-game voice communication system

is our server able to support this and if so any reasons against having this feature as i think it would be a fun addition and would make the gaming community on our servers better

I actually would like it if it was possible but you would have to have the feature of being abke to mute people.

just use the Teamspeak3 please. I'm trying to get it more active, it's like a ghost town most of the time. imo it's a good way to advertise FpsOverload, find a newish/popular game that lacks voice chat and offer a public channel for the game and clan channels. I did this with 1 game so far and i'm working on another..

The ingame voice system is generally abused by most players and makes concentrating on the game near impossible when certain players chose to scream or play loud music.

The server is able to support this feature, with ease.

On a side note all of our servers allow connection using the domain e.g. /connect fpsoverload.com:1024 and using fpsoverload.com as the teamspeak hostname/ip. Just saves remembering the Ip.

@raw: Do we really need 1million Leage of Legends channels? I mean, you said that the players can come here and use it, but no players come actually :S

yeah, i just started using teamspeak and i noticed there were 10 lol chanells, mabye cut that down to like 5 or so?

1 public
2 cod4
2.1 allies
2.2 axis

3 L.O.L 5v5 currently 10 of these
4 L.O.L 3v3 currently 10 of these
5 W.O.W.
6 FPS.members (need a pass? which is mailed to you when u join?0
7-??? those random clans that are on the channel currently 2 of these

i understand why you choose not to support this feature but in my personal opinion i believe that nothing has the same experience and the same community feeling as ingame voice chat as everyone is there in the lobby also i believe thhat there is a mute feature( may need to check this out) so annoying players could be muted until an admin strolls by and kicks him

I dislike the ingame voice... some people just do it to piss people off. annoying.
