Thread: Update Regarding Admin Applications

Due to the recent rcon leak from a member of our admin team, some new rules for admin applications have been put in place.

Admins must 16 years old or over.
An agreement must be read and agreed to.

The age requirement is effective immediately, and the agreement shall come soon.

Please be warned that any unauthorized access to FpsOverload servers and space shall be taken seriously and consequences shall follow depending on the level.

ehh you dont have to agree to no T&C form in the app page maybe you should put a pre-page before the app page where you confirm and agree to TOS or T&C

How exactly are you going to check whether an applicant is REALLY 16+ ?

I mean, trying to guess the age by the behaviour or manners of a person can be hard...

Providing a picture of any form of ID card (if I remember well, UK doesn't even have on) with of course every personal data blacked out with Photoshop (or whatever else), except the date of birth could be a way (although asking your bigger brother to give his ID is always possible, although more of a hassle...)

well of course there is no way to be a 100% sure that someone meets the age requirement. However, I think this is a really good idea. +rep

Simple, the applicant agrees to a contract/ terms of service or whatever. If he breaks the agreement we find out, not only is he in trouble for breaking the contact/ tos but also for being under age. Shit i should sleep

I can photoshop an ID for anyone in 10-20 minutes no sweat and then make it look like a scan or actually print and scan it.

If the person in question has it and is willing to open his private data to the admin team.

^^ java best idea yet imo ask for 1 or 2 active social networking account names

At some point, there will have to be a form of trust coming from both parties...
