How to enable ingame Console - Esc - Multiplayer Options - Enable Console > Yes

Thought i'd post some some cool commands to make you ingame life a little easier.

Open the Console (Press the tilde{~} key)

Binds

Binds save some text that you can later say with the press of a button instead of typing it out.
Type the following into the console (No [ ]'s)

[ /bind f2 say "Hello Everyone" ] When you press f2 you'll say Hello Everyone


Use ^ with a number to write in color, below is a list of available colors. You can use multiple colors in one sentence.
example:
[ /bind f3 say "^1Hello ^2Everyone" ] When you press f3 you'll say Hello Everyone

Connecting

Sometimes, if you know the ip address of a server, its easier to type it out than to exit the game or look through the server list.
Type the following into the console (No [ ]'s)

[ /connect 94.76.214.117:1024 ] Connects you straight to the fpsoverload fun server.

You can also disconnect and reconnect:

[ /disconnect ]
[ /reconnect ]

Field of View (FOV)

NOTE: This basically “backs you up” to give you a larger viewing area at the sides but it does make user/soldiers/enemies slightly smaller at the same time.

[ /cg_fov 80 ] changes your field of view from the default of 65 too 80.

Note: you can also bind other things, like connecting, disconnecting, etc...

/cg_fov 80 - values are 65 Lowest 80 Highest
/com_maxfps 125 - Can set to 250 but if you play promod you will be kicked.
/cg_drawlagometer 1 - Draws network graph
/snaps 30 - Helps with shot registry
/cl_maxpackets 100 - helps with shot registry. Depending on connection, I run 63.
/cl_packetdup 2 - shot registry. sends 2 packets of the same info. if slow connection, dont set to 2
/rate 25000 - shot registry
/sm_enable 0 - fps boost
/r_drawdecals 0 - fps boost
/cg_drawFPS 1 - fps meter
/cg_brass 0 - fps boost
/r_multigpu 1 - fps boost
/r_cachemodellighting 1 - fps boost
/r_cacheSmodellighting 1 - fps boost
/cl_mouseaccel 0 - fps boost
/cg_blood 0 - fps boost
/com_hunkmegs 512 - fps boost
/r_drawsun 0 - fpsboost

How to find your GUID:
First way:
1. Join a Punkbuster enabled server.
2. Type "/pb_plist" in the console. A list will pop up showing the last eight digit of everyones GUID
Second way:
1)Type "/pb_myguid" in the console.
2) In the console you'll see your full GUID (32 digits, you only need the last 8)

If for some reason PB kicks you before you manage to copy your GUID join another server and this time take a screenshot of the GUID list.

How to Install .cfg files:

***Doing this will overwrite all of your binds and settings so make sure you back up beforehand***
1. Download the attachment
2. Open you COD4 directory and go to \players\profiles\yourname\
3. Back-Up the config_mp.cfg file in there (rename to backupconfig_mp.cfg)
4. Rename the .cfg file you download to config_mp.cfg
5. Copy it to \players\profiles\yourname\
6. Make sure to set your own graphics configuration, controls, binds, and nickname afterward.
If you're using Vista or Windows 7 and it won't let you copy do this. method #4 is the easiest. (<- thnx to ıuɟǝɹuo for this tip)

This is my config. I just removed some binds as the rcon passwords and stuff. This .cfg is optimized for promod and getting more FPS.
You might want to change the controls as mine might be difficult for you.

In promod, you can use these keys, to change the map colors:

Left arrow, up arrow, down arrow, right arrow, num pad 7, 8, 9.

You can use these binds in any server:

You can toggle decals with numpad 0 and toggle max_fps with numpad minus.

All the commands should work the same. Just your COD4 Dir will be

C:\Program Files\Steam\steam\steamapps

or something like that.

yeah. that;s were i got these didn't feel like adding all of them though just added the more popular ones..

you need to be running it in admin mode or something like that
