Thread: COD4 Optimization and Pro configs

I know this thread is a little old but I'm still ontopic, so what?

This is my config. I just removed some binds as the rcon passwords and stuff. This cfg is optimized for promod and getting more fps.
You might want to change the controls as mine might be 'f*cked up' for you.

In promod, you can use these keys, to change the map colors:
Leftarrow, uparrow, downarray, rightarrow, numpad 7 8 9
You can use these bind everywhere:
You can toggle decals with numpad 0 and toggle max_fps with numpad minus.

Binds

Binds save some text that you can later say with the press of a button instead of typing it out.

Type the following into the console (No [ ]'s)

[ /bind f2 say "Hello Everyone" ] When you press f2 you'll say Hello Everyone


Use ^ with a number to write in color, below is a list of available colors. You can use multiple colors in one sentence.
example:
[ /bind f3 say "^1Hello ^2Everyone" ] When you press f3 you'll say Hello Everyone

This did not work for me but what did work was to go directly to te mp.config and add command button there.

And to change the color in the game chat: for the guys that does not know (I did not had to use MS word LOL)
to get this sign: ^ you press Alt and 94 on num [Alt94] hope you who did not know have learnt \m/

Wait I copied one of them and it did nothing wtf lol. I renamed it and put it in the right folder but nothing changed

this is my exact code for saying hi

bind F4 "say \"^1Hi Everybody ^4Howzit Goin ^2\m/\""

I put it in config_mp.cfg

so if I press F4 it reads:
Hi Everybody Howzit Goin \m/

I think you must open both files (yours and the ones whos settings you want) and copy the configurations over to your file.

NB!! Make a backup of the file you want to change. I say this to many peaple but very few listens and then lose their settings because they know what they are doing that is Bullshitting yourself everyone makes mistakes!!

I am currently using mazarini's config. It's really good! just go to gamerconfigs.com - Counter-strike 1.6, Counter-strike Source and Call of Duty 4 configs and download it of there.
