    My Shopping List

    I'm finally replacing my crap computer and this is what I've decided on.

    Motherboard= Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
    Processor= AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0GHz
    Graphics Card= XFX Radeon HD 4870 1gb GDDR5
    Hard Drive= Wester Digital Caviar Black 1tb
    Processor Heatsink= Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
    Ram= OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 1066

    Any opinions would be great.

    LMFAO!!! thats just like my system!! DO it... i gotta tell ya i love my PC.. it runs great,I got everything on the highest settings including crysis + warhead.. even with the Xtra-resolution files ( per xtra DL )

    ur not makin any mistakes there

    wut case u rocking ? Im askin bc them cards are HUGEEEE.. and u might have leave the side panel open.... buddy of mine has that prob lol... with a Nvidia GTX 260 case is ummm summin soprano.... forgot the company name

    I'm no expert, but it looks pretty sweet to me, I'm more of an intel and nvidia guy, but they looks equally good.

    Thanks for the feedback. I live in Israel so I'm kinda limited in the computer case area(I'm having a friend of mine bring the components in later this summer but it's nearly impossible to import a mid/full tower case) but I managed to find some decent ones at a local store: Thermaltake V9, Thermaltake SopranoRS, or a Thermaltake M9 is about all I could find. I'm also gonna pimp it out a bit with 4 120mm fans 2 blue led and 2 green and a orange sound activated cathode. I already bought my PSU, I think it's an OCZ GameXStream 700W. btw I'm ordering everything except the case from Newegg.

    oh yeah, another case possibility is an AeroEngine II, it looks pretty sweet and has decent reviews.

    Well, I'm getting the thermaltake m9, should be here by Friday, i'll tell ya how it goes

    I'm with you on the limitation, here in spain, pretty hard to get anything tech.

    Graphic card : Saphire Vapour Cool HD 4870 2Gb DDR5 (mines 2GB version tho)
    heatsink : Xigatek Thors hammer ( GET THIS I OC'D TO 4GHz FOR A WHILE NEVER WHEN OVER 50c)
    RAM OCZ 4Gb , 2x2Gb gold edition DDR 1066
    Powersupply: 700w OCZ Xstream (wish i went modular)

    go with intel. you won't regret it later. a Core 2 Quad CPU will be enough for all your needs. don't know how much you are willing to pay, but for gaming, for it's price-quality-gaming power, Core2Quads are far above i5 or i7, which of course rip off the above on video editing or archiving. but for gaming, C2Q rock at the moment. plus that intel performs most excellently on overclocking, far better then AMD, especially Q6600, which has a good price, but proved that it can be overclocked to 3.5ghz on air cooling, maintaining a low temp and stability. got mine to 3.4, so I can confirm it's true. high performance, stable, fast. in the end, your money, your call
